It’s ’s official: we have inaugurated our expanded service centre in Karaganda, Kazakhstan 🎉 What an incredible turnout of government representatives, honoured guests, valued customers and partners to mark this important milestone with us 🙌 This is an important step forward in strengthening our ability to provide advanced service, repair and manufacturing support for critical mining equipment - bringing expertise ever closer to our customers in Central Asia 🛠️⚙️ It is also a strong symbol of our long-term partnership with Kazakhstan and our commitment to investing in local capability and people by creating skilled jobs, supporting training and development, and helping strengthen the local mining value chain 🪨 As FLS CEO Toni Laaksonen said at the inauguration: “𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺. This week at #CESCO Week in Chile, FLS CEO Toni Laaksonen joined the World Copper Conference to talk about one of mining’s toughest challenges: sustaining performance over the life of mine. In a fireside chat with Rick Valenta , he shared a simple truth: most sites don’t fail because a catastrophic event, they drift off course. In mineral processing, performance erosion often comes from small disconnects that compound over time: maintenance vs. operations, parts vs. planning, data vs. decisions, and responsibility vs. accountability. When a global green‑energy leader meets a global mining leader, sparks fly ⚡   FLSmidth was proud to join the Danish State Visit to Australia, where more than 50 Danish companies accompanied Their Majesties The King and Queen of Denmark on a high‑level promotion tour in Melbourne, Victoria 🤝   With our long-standing footprint in Australia, this was a unique opportunity to showcase how essential the Australian mining sector is to the global energy transition, an agenda Denmark continues to champion worldwide 🌏   Throughout the visit, the alignment between Denmark’s green ambitions and Australia’s mining capabilities stood out clearly. We showcased how our solutions are already enabling customers to boost efficiency, reduce water use, emissions and modernise mineral processing 🪨   Our Head of Capital Sales APAC, Noel Raymond, joined a panel alongside leaders from Rio Tinto and European Energy to outline actionable pathways for more sustainable mining, highlighting solutions that are ready to scale now 📶   Noel even put His Majesty’s knowledge of Australian mining to the test with a mini-quiz and presented the significant efficiency gains of our solutions #HPGR to the Hon. Celebrating golden new opportunities in Mongolia 🌟 We are proud to announce that FLS last week finalised a key contract signing with МАКС ГРУПП - MAX GROUP’s President Dagvadorj Ganbaatar for the delivery of key equipment to a gold project in Central Mongolia 📝 This contract marks an important milestone for FLS in one of the most dynamic mining markets. We will deliver primary and secondary crushers as well as HPGR technology, supporting Max Group’s ambition of building a high‑performance, cost‑efficient and sustainable gold operation 🪙 These solutions will help unlock long‑term value at this new mine and strengthen Max Group’s contribution to Mongolia’s rapidly expanding mining industry. The Mongolian mining industry is evolving at remarkable speed with strong focus on productivity, sustainability and economic impact 🪨 Max Group has set an ambitious goal: contributing at least 5% to Mongolia’s national GDP by 2032. Alignment of the stars in Uzbekistan this week 🌟   On 16 March, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has inaugurated the state-of-the-art Copper Concentrator No. 3 at the JSC Almalyk Mining And Metallurgical Complex (AGMK). We are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project which utilises the most advanced #FLS #HPGR technology and processing plant feeding conveyors. Reaching this milestone is a testament to our dedication, hard work, and the significant investments made to drive innovation and success. The inauguration was also the perfect occasion to announce the signing of our new joint venture partnership agreement with TEXNOPARK LLC in Tashkent 🤝 This partnership for establishing a new service centre reinforces our commitment to localising service offerings, including on-site maintenance, technical support, spare parts management, and advanced digital solutions not only with AGMK, but also with other mining operations across the country. Once established, this new service centre will add to FLS’ already comprehensive global network of service centres 🌏 “Whoever builds a high-value chain in the copper industry will build the industry of the future,” President Mirziyoyev said during his inauguration speech. We wholeheartedly agree with this vision!
