Hi Google Workspace Support Team,

We would like to submit a feature request for Google Meet virtual backgrounds.

Currently, when users apply a custom/corporate background, the self-view appears mirrored/flipped, causing logos and text to look reversed. This creates confusion for users.

We would like to request an option to disable the mirrored preview or display the virtual background in normal orientation for self-view.

Google Meet actually only mirrors the view for you. Everyone else on the call sees your background, text, and logos in the correct, readable orientation. It’s designed this way because most people find it more natural to move their head in sync with a “mirror” image rather than a true camera feed.
