Where you'll find us this GAAD: Driving digital inclusion across Europe Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day #GAAD, and we aren't just talking about the status quo—we are actively shaping what comes next. Across multiple countries, teams, and events, our global team is pushing the boundaries of digital participation today, May 21st: In the UK 🇬🇧 : Alex from our UK team is attending the GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day) Foundation's official in-person event in London, celebrating both the 15th annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day and the foundation’s 5th anniversary alongside industry leaders and the GAAD co-founders. In Poland 🇵🇱 : Luba is joining forces with PFRON (the Polish State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled People) supported by the Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji (Ministry of Digital Affairs) at their major conference, "Digital Accessibility: From Obligation to Quality Standard." We are glad to see growing interest in this topic not only from the public sector, but increasingly from the private sector as well. In Germany 🇩🇪 : Our brand ambassador Anna alongside Tom is at the Bundestag for the Inclusion Talks organised by Deutscher Behindertensportverband e.V., discussing how to make accessibility a natural standard of everyday life. Also, part of our team is gathering for a strategic roadmap session in Würzburg, mapping out our next major steps to advance digital participation. In Italy 🇮🇹: Eye-Able® Italia is currently in the middle of the busiest event season. At Netcomm Forum — the leading event for the Italian e‑commerce and digital landscape — we had the opportunity to bring accessibility to the forefront of the conversation, highlighting why it is not only a strategic priority for companies, but also the right thing to do. Online 💻 : Our accessibility tester Adem is stepping up as a guest speaker for a specialised workshop at GWA Academy. Five locations, one shared goal: making accessibility the standard, not the exception. Happy GAAD to everyone working toward a more inclusive world! 🙌

Watch the video below to hear from our team about why making the digital world work for everyone is more than just a job—it’s our shared commitment across Europe and beyond. Turning up the volume for Day 2 of GAAD Week! 🎧 Digital accessibility is a serious baseline for every modern business, but advocating for it doesn't have to be dry. After kicking things off yesterday in Berlin, it’s time for a "Reality Check" on how the web actually sounds when barriers get in the way. We’re officially dropping the Eye-Able Accessibility Playlist. We’ve remixed a few classics to highlight the real digital barriers users face every day—from missing alt-text to poor contrast and keyboard traps. Swipe through to see the team's "Greatest Hits." Which of these is your personal accessibility anthem? Drop your favorite in the comments, or let us know your own accessibility remix. 👇

Let's Get Loud for Global Accessibility Awareness Week! 🌍 Today marks the start of our dedicated awareness week! While many celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day (#GAAD) as a 24-hour event, we believe one day isn't nearly enough to dismantle the barriers that still exclude millions of people online. Klemens and Alina are kicking things off today – live from the Siinda conference in Berlin. Under the motto "Digital Frontiers: AI, Advertising & the Power of Local," the industry is discussing what’s next. As an active Siinda member, we are here to ensure a vital topic stays on the agenda: True innovation only happens when it is accessible to everyone. This isn’t Alina’s first Siinda stage; just seven months ago, she was a featured speaker at Siinda Live in Rome. Now, she’s in Berlin alongside Klemens to further our vision of an inclusive digital world and to engage with partners who share our mission. Digital accessibility only becomes the standard when companies, partners, and platforms push for it together. This week, get ready for daily "reality checks" on digital inclusion: - Interactive community activities - Fresh perspectives and insights - Live impressions from various events We’re excited to have you with us. Stay tuned! See you tomorrow for our first update! 🎧

Accessibility has a bit of a reputation problem. Too often, it is treated as the boring bit. The compliance bit. The thing you sort out at the end when the campaign is already live and the website has already been built. But that misses the point entirely. Accessibility is where your inclusive marketing becomes real. - It is the captions that let someone watch your video on a noisy train. - It is the alternative text that makes your social media content understandable for people using assistive software. - It is the keyboard navigation that lets someone move through your website without a mouse. - It is the clear structure that helps both people and search engines understand your content. And yes, it is also the trust signal that tells your audience: we have thought about your experience properly. That is why accessibility should not sit at the end of the process. It belongs in the strategy, the content, the design and the customer journey. Inclusive marketing is not just about being seen to care. It is about building digital experiences that actually work for people. So next time you review a campaign, don’t just ask whether the message is inclusive. Ask whether the experience is too.

We’re blown away – our Masterclass was fully booked! 🤩 The energy at OMR has been incredible. Our masterclass with Eye-Able Co-Founder Eric Braun, our Brand Ambassador Anna Jarosch, and Ronald Schäffer from Panini was such a highlight. It was great to see so many people actually caring about inclusion. We talked about why just following the law isn't enough; if we want to make the digital world for everyone, we all need to be in this together and actually make it happen. Strong brands need strong values. At the end of the day, accessibility is about so much more than just ticking a box for some new regulation. It’s about showing real respect to every single person who visits your site. We’re firm believers that when inclusion is just part of who you are as a company, you don’t just get more clicks—you build real trust. It’s about making sure nobody is left out. A massive thank you to Eric, Anna, and Ronald for the insights, and to the lovely crowd for all the questions and the great chats! ✨ A huge shout-out also goes to the whole Eye-Able team on the ground! This wouldn’t have happened without your hard work at the stand, the behind-the-scenes magic, and your amazing energy. You lot are absolute legends! 💛 We’re back for round two today! Catch us in Hall B6, Stand H12. Also, don’t miss our Accessibility Reality Check at 14:45 with our Brand Ambassador Gino Utz.
