XLYNX Materials has been selected to join the 2026 Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator cohort! The program, announced at the Plug and Play Tech Center Silicon Valley Summit, is designed to condense a three-year enterprise business development cycle into just six months. For XLYNX, this is a transformative opportunity to demonstrate how our PFAS-free bonding solutions can reduce the carbon impact of consumer devices while improving manufacturing processes. Our CEO, Robert Niven, recently returned from the Finalist Showcase in Hong Kong with a clear takeaway: Environmental sustainability doesn’t need to be at odds with making better devices and improving the customer experience. We would also like to congratulate the other 14 companies in the cohort. We’re looking forward to peer-to-peer learning and possible collaboration opportunities that this program facilitates. About us
Located on Canada’s West Coast, XLYNX Materials (pronounced “Ex-Links”) is a specialty chemicals company developing novel crosslinking diazirine-based molecules for commercial manufacturing applications. Incorporated in 2019 after developing the world’s first covalent polymer crosslinking molecular adhesive capable of bonding with non-functionalized polymers like polyethylene and polypropylene, XlynX Materials now represents some of the foremost experts in this small but growing field of materials-based diazirine chemistry. Situated in beautiful Victoria, Canada, XlynX Materials is a private company operating out of a state-of-the-art laboratory located on the University of Victoria campus. The company is commercializing two lines of crosslinking products: BondLynx (bis-diazirine molecular covalent crosslinking adhesive and stabilizer) and PlastiLynx (a polymeric diazirine crosslinking adhesive and primer). XlynX is currently working with a wide array of industry leaders to solve long-standing materials challenges in fields that include adhesion, sealants, performance textiles, ballistic materials, aerospace coatings, advanced composites, organic electronics, perovskite solar cells and semiconductors. By enabling adhesion and adding functionality to low-surface energy polymers, XlynX believes it is only scratching the surface when it comes to potential applications and is actively engaging with industrial and academic experts to explore other exciting opportunities.

Exciting news for our U.S. partners! XLYNX Materials has officially secured a Low Volume Exemption (LVE) approval from the US EPA for a select category of our advanced molecular reagents. What this means: ✅ Immediate Commercial Supply: We can now support our early-adopter customers with significant quantities of reagent, ensuring a robust and compliant U.S. supply channel for critical initial commercial applications. ✅ Accelerated Qualification: The LVE status streamlines regulatory hurdles, moving our materials quickly from R&D to product launch. ✅ De-Risked Solutions: Confidence for partners seeking sustainable, high-performance additives (like in PFAS-free formulations and ultra-low Dk/Df materials). This milestone is a testament to our commitment to both innovation and compliance. We’re ready to help you transition smoothly from proof-of-concept to commercial launch.
