Plastic clips hold axle!! Be careful
Having used mowers both commercially and domestically for over 40 years l can honestly say this is a poor design that really does a service to the name of Stiga. I'd guess around 1/2 HR of use on dry and cut grass before the PLASTIC!! Clip holding the rear axle failed and the mower hit the floor. Really dubious design that will fail at some point but really!... Currently at the dealership awaiting report and possibly repair. I would advise extreme care before purchasing. The axle clip is clearly not a good design. Too much plastic and whilst potentially very good l can't really tell you yet
Mulching could be nicer
Mulching could be nicer. At the lowest speed it still doesn't mow everything.
But great power, very useful, i could recommend.
First experience with elektric garden…
First experience with elektric garden tractor.... and i'm pleasantly surprised.
High speed delivery
First impressions
Very competent mower. Would be nice if you could put into freewheel mode without having to take off the grass box to do so.
Stiga Silex 87G Power Scythe
Stiga Silex 87G Power Scythe. A great machine, does what it should do with few complaints! Longevity to be assessed.
I have a Mountfeild MR1500
I have a Mountfeild MR1500. This season it has been so unpredictable unreliable. It seemed to have no idea what it is doing. Keeps going home because of obstruction which are not there, going out of boundary.
I had be quicker cutting the grass with my push mower.
Last season was good. Don’t know what’s going on with there technology this year.
Great device
Great device , efficient and get even through uneven terrain. Sometimes he gets into trouble when he wants to be connected back to the moment station while being not in a 90’ angel with the charger

1970's build quality …
All my Danish friends recommended I replace my old chinese lawn mower that I used on my tiny English lawn for years with a Stiga. After 4 years of struggling with my Danish sized garden, the chinese mower was starting to show signs of fatigue. Wanting to be patriotic to my new country, I bought a New Stiga ST170. It didnt go well. Having collected it from my local dealer, I opened the box and found that the handle could not be attached as the bolts were missing. It was a sealed box. So I went back to the dealer who took some bolts off of a display model. There was no drama, but I should have noticed that no one at the dealership seemed surprised that items were missing. Anyway the first problem was sorted and I was ready to try out my new fantastic Danish machine. Until the wheels fell off. They hadn't been bolted on properly. The powerful motor does cut the grass well, but it is very heavy and the self propelled mechanism only works when the wheels are not touching the ground. This is because Stiga engineers didn't consider it necessary to bolt the drive shafts to the wheels. All in all the build quality is like a nostalgic trip back to the 1970's, where quality control existed only in the pipe dreams of advertising managers. My lawn mower appears to have been assembled by someone blind, or drunk or both. And then I noticed something else. Many of my Danish neighbours were getting into 'wilding'. Where they allow the grass to grow tall to promote biodiversity. Possibly because they also have Stiga lawn mowers. I have had to completely rebuild my lawn mower having completed only two circuits of my lawn. I hope it will last for years but if the motor is made to the same standards as the rest, then it looks like I will be buying another chinese lawn mower next year
All great and quick setup

When it works, it is brilliant, however, in almost a year of ownership, it has never gone longer than a week, without failing.
The supplying dealer has been tyring his best to solve the problems, but, in the past five days alone, it has failed 3 times, requiring a complete restart.

I love my Stiga robot
I love my Stiga robot, I call him Mr. Mowie, this robot goes out twice a day and mows the lawns. I get ir serviced once a year and I'm now starting into my third year. It's a sensible investment for people heading into their senior years. I do give my lawns a cut myself about every six weeks in the growing season as the grass grows faster than Mr. Mowie can cut. I would highly recommend Stiga to all with a large garden and I wouldn't be without mine Stiga.
I recently purchased a STIGA combo 53s
I recently purchased a STIGA combo 53s. I have used it twice and so far I am very pleased. The mower is easy to use and feels lightweight when in use. Time will tell re the reliability. I previously owned Honda lawnmowers which are particularly reliable. So far so good 😊
Honda engine make the machine bearable
I guess the main bugbear for me was the reliability straight after buying, and once they were sorted the on-going lack of drive in the machine when cutting grass.
The Honda engine works exactly as you would expect a product of their to performance, never misses a beat.
Would I recommend the machine, overall I probably would; I’ve had worse machines after all (MacAllister).
