In just over a year, five people have rejoined Atomi. For a team of just under 150, it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. While it wasn’t a number we set out to chase, but it's one we notice. The most recent was Loïc Plaire, back in engineering after a year exploring elsewhere. Each of them spent time away, saw what was out there and decided to come back. We think it says something. The work here, the people and the kind of experience we're trying to build are worth returning to. #AtomiTeam #EdTech #Education #EdLeadership #SchoolsAU

There's something satisfying about shipping work that reaches thousands of classrooms. Last week, our product and engineering teams launched AI-powered quizzes in mark book, bringing all quiz results, including those from AI-generated questions, into one place for teachers. It means teachers can quickly see how their students are tracking without switching between workflows. It’s a simple change on the surface, but it took real cross-team effort to get right. That's what the day-to-day looks like at Atomi. Working on problems that matter, with a team that genuinely cares about the people on the other side of the screen. If that sounds like your kind of place, we're hiring. See our open roles at getatomi.com/jobs. #AtomiTeam #EdTech #Education #EdLeadership #SchoolsAU

40 people. One city. Zero Zoom calls. This week, our School Partnerships team landed in Sydney for our offsite. We spent time at UTS talking about how we work and where we're taking Atomi, then headed to House of Pickle for pickleball. When you work in a distributed team, moments like this matter. The real conversations, the bad shots and the laughs in between. That's what keeps a team together the rest of the year. We love what we're building here. And we're growing. If you're in Queensland and you know your way around schools, our Growth Account Executive role might be your next move. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gj4H7hgA #AtomiTeam #WeAreHiring #EdTech #SalesLife #AccountExecutive #Queensland

Recently, we brought together secondary principals in Sydney to discuss a big question facing school leaders today: how do you lead through the tech shift while keeping teaching quality at the centre? Over canapés and conversation, Sarah-Eleni Zaferis moderated a panel on how principals can use technology purposefully to strengthen teaching and learning while protecting trust, clarity and staff workload. We were grateful to hear from Liliana (Lila) Mularczyk, Denise Lofts from NSW Secondary Principals Council, Peter Howes and Thomas O'Donahoo, who shared their perspectives from across school leadership and education technology. Opportunities to sit down with school leaders like this are rare and incredibly valuable. Hearing directly from principals about the realities schools are navigating from rapid changes in technology to the rise of AI helps us better understand how we can support schools in practical ways. A memorable night of thoughtful conversation and shared learning. Thanks again to the principals and leaders who joined us. #SchoolLeadership #AIinEducation #NSWEducation #EdTechInEducation

Our students are already using AI. Most education systems are still deciding how schools should respond. Somewhere in that gap sits the real leadership challenge for schools. I recently had the privilege of joining a panel at the NSW Secondary Principals’ Council professional learning event: “Leading Through the AI Shift.” The session explored how principals can lead the purposeful, ethical and system aligned use of AI while protecting trust, workload and wellbeing. A couple of ideas stayed with me from the conversation. 1. Leadership cannot wait for perfect policy. Large education systems are moving cautiously as frameworks and safeguards evolve. But the reality is that our students are already engaging with AI every day. The work of thoughtful implementation must begin in schools, led by principals and teachers navigating the opportunities and risks in real time. This is often the tension within large systems: policy seeks clarity and protection while practice is already evolving in classrooms. 2. Students should be partners, not bystanders. Young people are already experimenting with these tools, often without the guidance of educators. Rather than excluding them from the conversation, schools have an opportunity to work alongside students as partners as we explore the possibilities, the limitations and the ethical questions that come with AI. In my school, Ballina Coast High School, some of the most thoughtful conversations about AI have emerged when students and staff sit alongside each other to wrestle with these questions together. For me the AI shift is not primarily a technology story. It is a leadership story about creating the conditions where teachers feel confident to explore, where students develop critical and ethical understanding, and where schools remain places of trust in a rapidly changing world.
