  • As carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) is being delivered at scale, the focus is shifting to economics, operability, and real-world performance. So...how do you create power systems today that are ready for carbon capture tomorrow — without compromising efficiency or reliability? 🌍 In our upcoming webinar with Shell Catalysts & Technologies and Technip Energies, we’ll explore how exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), steam integration, and high backpressure can help enable more efficient, CCS-ready gas power plants. We’ll also share insights from the NZT Power project—set to be the world’s first commercial-scale gas-fired power plant with integrated carbon capture and EGR. Join the discussion and explore what it takes to harness the full power of CCS: https://vernova.is/4fsyCYL #CarbonCapture #CCS #PowerGeneration #EnergyTransition #Decarbonization

  • As you finalize planning for the upcoming #outage season, have you harnessed the benefits of Outage Optimization? This suite of capabilities can help you 'double-down' on your project plan by: 🔹Identifying precision scoping and uncovering potential risk prior to the outage 🔹Reducing the chances of emergent work/project delays 🔹Comparing your operation to similar sites to help uncover optimization opportunities Discover how you can collaborate with our #SteamPlant service team to take your outage planning/execution to the next level: https://vernova.is/4dmp2nF #OutageServices #GEVernova

    • Finalizing your outage plan
  • On 20 April, the first GE Vernova equipment for the NZT Power project arrived at the newly upgraded Redcar Bulk Terminal in Teesside. This marks a major milestone as construction on the world’s first gas-fired power plant with carbon capture continues to gather pace. This delivery reflects the scale of coordination required across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, port operations and project teams to reach this point. It also marks an important step forward for the NZT Power consortium, led by Technip Energies, as the project moves closer to reality. Watch this short video for a behind-the-scenes look at the arrival and offloading of this important cargo. A clear sign of progress for NZT Power. And an important moment for the region. #CarbonCapture #CCS

  • The Hydro Power team recently helped service and rewind the 90-year-old unit at the Nebraska Public Power District’s North Platte Hydropower Plant, in time for water season. Our team, working in tight collaboration with NPPD, has successfully commissioned Unit 2, at the 24 MW facility located in Nebraska, in operation since 1937. Congratulations to the site team and to everyone involved in making this project a success, reflecting the teams' talent and dedication. #Hydropower #Service #EnergyOfChange

  • The most expensive controls plan is no plan at all. Deferred updates, aging hardware, and evolving cybersecurity requirements can quickly turn into outages, emergency spending, and unplanned obsolescence. GE Vernova’s Controls Lifecare Services Multi-Year Agreements (CLS MYA) help convert those unpredictable risks into a planned, sustainable lifecycle strategy with proactive maintenance, priority support, and guidance for compliance and cybersecurity. The result is fewer surprises, lower long-term cost, and greater confidence in plant performance. Don’t wait for the next outage to expose the gap. • AI is accelerating the growth of data centers, and powering them requires more than just adding megawatts. Successful projects increasingly depend on integrated power planning across the entire energy ecosystem, from generation to grid connections and system controls. In our new blog, we share perspectives on how early collaboration and system-level thinking can support the next generation of data center infrastructure. Last week, we lowered the close to 2,100,000-pound Basemat into place — the foundation for the G7's first Small Modular Reactor and Canada's first new nuclear build in more than 30 years. One of the largest crawler cranes in the world lowered the Basemat module into the reactor shaft at the Darlington New Nuclear Project site — 35 metres below ground. It’s the first time in Canada a foundation for a reactor building was assembled modularly – putting the “M” in SMR – as the giant component was fabricated, welded, and put together in one piece before being lifted into place. This was a milestone months in the making, requiring significant attention to detail and safety, as well as the hard work of dedicated trades and project partners. Piece by piece, we're continuing to build one of the largest and most complex clean energy projects in Canada today. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4mSWI0w

  • Unplanned outages. Sudden upgrades. Compliance gaps. Premium emergency response. These are the hidden costs of ad-hoc controls maintenance. GE Vernova’s Controls Lifecare Services Multi-Year Agreements (CLS MYA) are designed to replace uncertainty with a structured lifecycle approach that helps improve availability, reduce overhead, and allocate spending over time. With OEM-led planning, priority support, and cybersecurity guidance, CLS MYA help plants prepare for what comes next. See what a more proactive controls strategy looks like.
