Base pay range
$44.00/hr - $48.00/hr
Seeking an experienced Environmental/Wetlands Specialist to support wetlands protection and water quality compliance initiatives. This role will focus on technical review, quality assurance, permitting support, wetlands delineation, regulatory coordination, and project oversight related to environmental compliance activities across multiple infrastructure and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and oversee consultant-prepared wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineation reports, permit applications, and supporting environmental documentation
• Coordinate with environmental teams, project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Support permitting strategies and provide recommendations related to wetlands science and regulatory compliance
• Track projects, manage environmental data, and provide administrative/project support
• Collaborate with agencies including USACE, RWQCB, SWRCB, and CDFW
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of Water Quality compliance experience
• 3+ years of regulatory permitting and negotiation experience in California
• Experience with wetlands and jurisdictional water delineation
• Completion of a 40-hour Wetland Delineation course with applied project experience
• Experience using ArcGIS, Google Earth, and geospatial systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools
• Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills
