Location: Frederick, MD

Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 + Benefits

Overview

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, shipping/receiving performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control
• Manage workflows, staffing, and shipping schedules to meet production demands
• Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff while promoting accountability and safety
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process controls
• Enforce OSHA, food safety, and warehouse compliance standards
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, accuracy, labor efficiency, and turnaround time
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Partner with production, procurement, and customer service teams to support operational goals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience managing teams of 10+ employees
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving
• Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and warehouse systems
• Process improvement and data-driven mindset

Work Environment

• Warehouse environment with standing, walking, and lifting requirements
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage
