As an M&A VP/Director at Partner One, you will play a pivotal role in driving the entire M&A lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to transaction close. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience executing transactions and the ability to independently lead deals in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Core Responsibilities
Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong relationships with owner-operators, investment bankers, and large corporations
Conduct early-stage discussions with business owners and senior executives to qualify targets for strategic fit and deal probability
Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of analysts and associates
Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and execution excellence
Transaction Leadership
Independently lead M&A transactions from origination through closing
Drive multiple live transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless and efficient execution
Offer Structuring & Negotiation
Prepare and negotiate indicative offers, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), ensuring alignment with Partner One’s strategic objectives
Lead negotiations with counterparties in a dynamic and fast-moving deal environment
Qualifications
Professional Experience
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, including at least 3 years focused on software M&A
Demonstrated expertise executing M&A transactions with a proven track record of successfully closing deals
Strong relationship-building and negotiation experience
Skills & Attributes
Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and operate effectively in a high-volume transaction environment
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in relationship management and transaction-related writing
Highly organized, self-motivated, and execution-oriented
Flexibility
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet aggressive deadlines, and adapt to variable hours
Willingness to travel as needed to facilitate transaction execution
Benefits
Estimated Compensation Range: base salary of 100,000-150,000 USD + bonus
