Vice President of Applied Science, Autonomous Pricing & ML Systems

Compensation: Up to 350,000 Base + Bonus + Meaningful Equity

The business is evolving from a traditional revenue management platform into an autonomous Revenue & Profit Operating System powered by machine learning, optimization, and agentic AI.

This is a rare executive opportunity to lead the applied science and ML transformation of a scaled, global platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll own the strategy and execution behind moving from heuristic-based recommendations to autonomous, production-grade decisioning systems.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the transition from rules-based pricing systems to ML-powered autonomous decisioning
• Define the long-term applied science, ML platform, and AI infrastructure strategy
• Own production ML systems end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, retraining, experimentation, and reliability
• Build and scale agentic workflows and intelligent automation across the platform
• Lead teams across Applied Science, ML Platform, Forecasting, Product Analytics, and R&D
• Partner with product, engineering, executive leadership, and board stakeholders on technical direction
• Drive experimentation, optimization, and decisioning systems at global scale
• Help shape the company’s strategic AI positioning ahead of a future liquidity event

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience across data science, machine learning, ML engineering, or related fields
• Experience leading production ML organizations at meaningful scale
• A strong track record building systems that make autonomous decisions for external customers
• Deep expertise in optimization under uncertainty, experimentation, and real-world ML tradeoffs
• Experience owning ML systems operationally, not simply handing models off to engineering
• Strong fluency in MLOps, production infrastructure, monitoring, and model reliability
• Experience moving heuristic or rules-based systems into ML-driven automation
• Ability to operate at both executive strategy and deep technical review levels
