Position Summary
BostonGene is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead the execution and distribution of our marketing strategy across direct and indirect channels. This role is not focused on creating core scientific content, but on ensuring that our message reaches the right audiences at the right time via the right channels and drives measurable commercial outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in biopharma, biotech, or life sciences technology, understands how to communicate complex scientific value propositions to non-scientist stakeholders, and is comfortable operating as a hands-on, tactical leader.
Responsibilities
Marketing Execution & Distribution
Own and execute the company’s marketing distribution strategy across:
Industry events and conferences
Media and PR
Digital and social media channels
Webinars, virtual events, and thought-leadership platforms
Strategic partnerships and third-party channels
Translate existing positioning and messaging into effective channel-specific execution
Ensure consistency, quality, and scientific credibility across all outward-facing marketing efforts
Events, PR & External Visibility
Lead the strategy and execution of:
Industry conferences, symposia, and sponsored events
Speaking opportunities, panels, and executive visibility
Media outreach, press strategy, and agency relationships
Partner with internal subject matter experts to position BostonGene as a credible voice in AI-enabled precision medicine and translational science
Demand Generation & Pipeline Support
Design and execute marketing programs that support:
Lead generation
Account-based marketing efforts
Sales enablement and pipeline acceleration
Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, and Product teams to align campaigns with commercial priorities
Track performance and continuously optimize based on data and outcomes
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead and develop a small but high-impact marketing team whilst utilizing external vendors/agencies
Work cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure accuracy and relevance of messaging
Bring structure, accountability, and operational rigor to marketing execution
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive marketing experience in biopharma, biotech, life sciences, or health technology
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
Demonstrated success executing marketing programs across events, PR, digital, and partner channels
Strong ability to understand and translate complex scientific and clinical concepts for commercial audiences
