We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional to lead and support complex tax matters across multiple functional and geographic areas. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders to drive strategic tax initiatives and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate with a high degree of autonomy to manage one or more tax functional and/or geographic areas
Demonstrate mastery of prevailing statutory authority and its application to financial (general ledger) data across broad functional and geographic scopes
Actively manage personnel, activities, and deadlines in support of financial reporting, tax compliance, statutory reporting, and tax technical research
Serve as a company advocate and advisor across multiple areas of tax law, both by subject matter and geography
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective tax reporting and risk management
Provide tax leadership and support for acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, restructurings, and other strategic transactions, including post-acquisition integration
Lead audit defense for tax positions taken and identify planning opportunities to optimize the company’s effective tax rate and cash tax position
Ensure compliance with internal controls within assigned areas
Regularly interact with and advise senior executives on tax matters; collaborate with external advisors on legal and accounting determinations
Manage team functions and responsibilities, including reviewing and approving technical memoranda supporting tax positions in financial statements and statutory filings
Drive career development and coaching of team members, including managers and their respective staff
Preferred Qualifications:
JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree; focus on tax law preferred
CPA or advanced tax certification preferred
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax regulations
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Applicable professional certifications are a plus
