As Senior Director of Tax Operations, you will lead the global tax provision and income tax accounting function, serving as the enterprise owner of the quarterly and annual tax provision under ASC 740. You will also be responsible for federal tax compliance, including U.S. international tax calculations and modeling.

This role is highly visible and central to financial reporting, partnering closely with Finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax results while driving continuous improvement across tax processes, systems, and controls. You will lead an internal team and will also manage co-sourcing relationships with Big4 firms.

You will report to the Vice President, Head of Global Tax, and play a critical role in shaping tax strategy, enhancing reporting capabilities, and building a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and lead the global tax provision process, including quarterly and annual reporting under ASC 740 (current and deferred tax, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate analysis).
  • Oversee consolidation of global tax results, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with financial reporting timelines.
  • Partner with FP&A and Controllership to forecast and explain the company’s effective tax rate, identifying key drivers and risks.
  • Lead all aspects of income tax accounting, including preparation and review of financial statement disclosures and audit support.
  • Drive process optimization and automation across provision and compliance workflows, leveraging tax technology and data analytics tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Treasury, and external advisors to support complex transactions and ensure appropriate tax treatment.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls over tax reporting (SOX), ensuring audit readiness and compliance.
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing tax operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

US Persons Requirement

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in tax, with significant focus on income tax provision and reporting within a large multinational environment and/or Big 4.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 740 and global tax accounting principles.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional tax provision processes.
  • Significant experience with U.S. international tax matters, including calculating and modeling foreign inclusions.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Experience with tax technology platforms and ERP systems (e.g., CorpTax, OneSource, Alteryx, SAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $222,000-$300,000.
