Software Quality Assurance Tester

Our client in the public sector is looking for a Software Tester to join their team! This is opportunity is supporting a large system modernization effort, focused on testing and validating a new application replacing legacy systems.

Location: Mostly remote, but candidates must be local to Phoenix, AZ for occasional in-office meetings. Relocation is not an option for this role.

Pay: $48/hour W2

Here is what you will be doing:

• Review test plans, scripts, and related documentation
• Execute functional, regression, conversion, and ad hoc testing
• Document test results and log defects clearly and accurately
• Support requirements validation and confirm system functionality
• Collaborate with project teams, business analysts, and SMEs
• Attend standups, sprint reviews, and testing meetings
• Track progress, issues, and testing activities

Here is what our ideal candidate has:

• 2+ years of software testing experience
• Experience testing components of large or enterprise applications
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
• Experience with functional, regression, and UAT testing
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Exposure to government or public sector environments is a plus
