What You’re Applying For
The Social Media Content Manager will be charged with helping produce Edmunds content across all current and emerging social media platforms, delivering industry-leading results. This role is responsible for identifying, creating and supporting Edmunds content, driving improved metrics across Edmunds’ channels. This is a role with a comprehensive ability to support the Senior Director, Social to creatively express our class-leading automotive knowledge and expertise to a mass audience on the platforms they use every day. They also must have solid knowledge of the automotive landscape; know where the industry is headed and what shoppers care about; and be passionate and knowledgeable of the all-encompassing nature of social, digital and video.
What You’ll Do
Support the Senior Director, Social in the development and execution of Edmunds’ social media strategy
Social media content creation, strategy and tactics, from ideation through publication to reporting performance
Put best practices to work in the real world: attend car launches, events, shoots and our own testing grounds to capture world-class, compelling content that can be leveraged across all our platforms
Use analytics and data to produce meaningful insights and optimization
Leverage vertical video, helping ensure we are seen as a leader in the automotive space
On-set stills photography to support our YouTube content, capturing eye-popping, thumb-stopping thumbnails
Support the Senior Director, Social in pioneering best-in-class usage of new and emerging platforms, to ensure Edmunds is seen as a class leader in the space
As necessary, work alongside our CarMax team to help produce industry-leading social content for our partner
What You Need
Strong knowledge of the social space
Strong knowledge of the automotive space
Know how to get the very best photos and video out of a smartphone
Ability to engage with external stakeholders and manage deliverables
Ability to engage with internal stakeholders, write briefs and ensure requested content meets expectations
Solid writing ability
Front of camera experience is desirable as we move to become more face-first in social
The compensation range for this position is $87,000 - $110,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
