Senior SAP Solutions Architect

Position Summary

The Senior SAP Solution Architect is a strategic pre-sales and solution advisory leader responsible for designing and delivering complex SAP solutions that drive measurable business outcomes for enterprise customers. This role combines deep expertise across SAP platforms (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP cloud and integration services) with strong business acumen to shape customer transformation journeys. The Senior SAP Solution Architect partners closely with executive stakeholders, sales, delivery, and engineering teams to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions while influencing customer buying decisions and supporting business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner with sales teams to lead pursuits, shape proposals, develop solution strategies, define architecture approaches, and present SAP capabilities to prospective clients
2. Present and defend solution approaches during client presentations, workshops, and orals, helping influence customer buying decisions and drive successful outcomes
3. Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, advising on SAP transformation strategies, roadmaps, and modernization initiatives (e.g., S/4HANA migration, cloud adoption)
4. Lead the design of complex SAP solutions and transformation programs (e.g., S/4HANA, system conversions, landscape transformations), ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards
5. Design integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP BTP, APIs, middleware (e.g., CPI), and event-driven architectures
6. Define SAP cloud architectures leveraging platforms such as SAP RISE, AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring cost optimization, resilience, performance, and regulatory alignment
7. Work closely with delivery, engineering, and functional teams to ensure successful execution and alignment between solution architecture and implementation
8. Provide architectural oversight throughout delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices, design standards, governance frameworks, and operational resiliency requirements
9. Represent RTS at client workshops, executive briefings, industry events, and strategic customer engagements
10. Mentor and develop Solution Consultants and technical teams, strengthening SAP architecture and consulting capabilities across the organization
11. Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (e.g., AI/ML within SAP, Joule, BTP innovations) and incorporate them into solution offerings to drive differentiation and innovation
12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
• 8+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles
• Deep experience with SAP platforms, including:
• SAP S/4HANA (implementation, migration, or transformation programs)
• SAP ECC (legacy modernization)
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• SAP integration technologies (CPI, PI/PO, APIs)
• Strong understanding of SAP cloud and hosting models, including RISE with SAP and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with consideration for regulatory constraints
• Demonstrated ability to lead pursuits, shape proposals, and support sales cycles through technical solution leadership
• Experience presenting during client orals, workshops, and executive solution discussions
• Proven ability to influence customer buying decisions through consultative engagement and solution positioning
• Demonstrated ability to design solutions that address data governance, security, audit and compliance requirements and system resiliency and operational continuity
• Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear business value and measurable outcomes
• Strong business acumen with ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business value
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving consensus and achieving results
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior executive
