In this role, you will:

  • Lead robotic and automation system design, integration, troubleshooting, and technical support.
  • Drive productivity through automation projects.
  • Develop and enforce robotic, electrical, controls, and safety standards.
  • Mentor engineers and cross-functional teams on robotics, controls, vision, and safety best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in robotics, machine vision, simulation, and emulation.

Required Technical Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on robotics and controls engineering experience.
  • Technical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong FANUC and/or ABB robot experience, including electrical/mechanical systems and programming.
  • Experience with ROBOGUIDE and/or RobotStudio.
  • Knowledge of 2D/3D vision-guided robotic applications.
  • Experience with DCS/SafeMove and robotic safety systems.
  • Working knowledge of Studio 5000 Logix and PLC-to-robot interfaces.
  • Experience specifying, sourcing, installing, and qualifying robotic automation equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
  • Hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, including wiring connectors, sensors, cameras, and encoders.
  • Strong machine vision knowledge, including FANUC iRVision, Cognex, and Keyence systems.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical status clearly to leadership, engineers, operators, and skilled trades.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
  • Experience with RSLogix/Studio 5000.
  • Robot tooling and fixturing design experience.
  • Programming experience in Python, C, C++, C#, VB, or VB.NET.
  • Experience with Emulate3D and physics-based virtual equipment functionality.

Work Environment:

  • Office and manufacturing plant settings, with approximately 20–30% domestic and/or international travel.
  • Off-shift or weekend work may occasionally be required for project implementation.
