Glocomms is partnering with a reputable, cutting-edge financial firm to find an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join a team responsible for designing, operating, and supporting a large-scale, global network environment spanning offices, data centers, and colocation facilities.
This role is hands-on and technical, with a strong focus on data center networking, WAN technologies, automation, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with network, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure a highly available and scalable network platform.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and support scalable data center and enterprise network infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN
Support and improve WAN architectures, including modern routing and segmentation approaches
Automate network operations using tools like Python, Ansible, Git, and templates
Monitor network performance and proactively address reliability and capacity concerns
Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD-style network deployments
Collaborate cross-functionally on new designs and technology improvements
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices and documentation
What We're Looking For
Strong experience supporting large-scale enterprise or data center networks
Hands-on expertise with Cisco and/or Arista network platforms
Solid knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS
Experience with WAN technologies (SD-WAN, segment routing, multi-tenant designs preferred)
Working knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Git, Jinja2)
Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet-level analysis
Experience working in Agile or DevOps-oriented environments
Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in high-impact environments
Nice to Have
CCNP or equivalent certification (CCIE a plus)
Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) or InfiniBand environments
