Job Summary
The Senior Management Analyst provides executive-level analytical and strategic support to senior Government leadership within a complex DoD environment. This role is responsible for evaluating organizational operations, identifying performance gaps, and developing data-driven recommendations that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and mission execution. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in engineering, operations research, financial analysis, or program management within U.S. Navy environments, along with proven leadership capabilities and the ability to support high-level decision-making initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent analysis of organizational, operational, financial, and programmatic challenges
Collect, evaluate, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to support executive decision-making
Identify operational inefficiencies, risks, and areas for process improvement
Develop strategic recommendations and actionable solutions aligned with organizational objectives
Prepare formal reports, executive summaries, briefings, and presentations for senior Government leadership
Support Program Managers, Directors, and executive stakeholders with analytical insight and recommendations
Analyze budgetary, technical, staffing, and program management information to support organizational planning
Assess organizational structures, workflows, and operational processes to improve performance and effectiveness
Assist with implementation of approved recommendations and organizational improvement initiatives
Lead analytical teams and oversee task execution to ensure quality and timely delivery of support services
Coordinate with Government stakeholders and senior leadership across multiple functional areas
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior personnel and analytical staff
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a Business, Technical, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in: Engineering or science management, Operations research analysis, Financial or cost analysis.
Significant experience supporting U.S. Navy programs or operations
Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
Experience supporting and communicating with SES and Flag-level personnel
Proven ability to manage contract support efforts effectively and efficiently
Experience supporting executive-level initiatives, organizational analysis, and strategic planning activities
Background working within complex DoD or federal environments
Required Skills
Advanced analytical and critical thinking capabilities
Strong organizational assessment and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret complex operational and financial data
Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
Experience preparing formal reports, briefings, and presentations
Leadership and team management capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
Strong stakeholder coordination and collaboration skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and analytical tools
Ability to develop strategic recommendations and performance improvement initiatives
Certifications
PMP certification preferred
DAWIA certification preferred
Security Clearance
Active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain eligibility throughout employment required
