THE OPPORTUNITY


We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help convert demand into pipeline opportunities. You will be the driving force behind our revenue pipeline. Sitting at the high-impact intersection of Marketing and Sales within our Enablement team, you’ll ensure that the massive demand we’re generating, from global retail events to targeted digital campaigns, is converted into high-value partnerships. You won’t just manage leads; you’ll own the 'first impression' of The Desire Company, using a mix of strategic follow-up and proactive prospecting to ensure we never miss an opportunity to scale.



RESPONSIBILITIES


You will own the critical bridge between marketing interest and closed revenue. Your mission is to accelerate our pipeline velocity through two key pillars:


Inbound Growth & Conversion (Primary Focus)

  • Own the "Golden Hour": Maximize conversion by ensuring high-intent leads (from our website, paid campaigns, and events) receive an immediate, world-class first impression.
  • Strategic Qualification: Evaluate company fit and business pain points to ensure our Sales team is focused on the highest-value partnerships.
  • Artful Outreach: Craft highly personalized, vertical-specific outreach that cuts through the noise and speaks directly to the needs of brands and retailers.
  • Pipeline Architecture: Seamlessly transition qualified leads to Account Executives, ensuring a frictionless hand-off and high meeting-attendance rates.
  • Nurture & Engagement: Build intelligent follow-up sequences for "warm" prospects, keeping The Desire Company top-of-mind until they are ready to buy.
  • Optimize the Engine: Partner with Marketing to provide real-time feedback on lead quality, helping to sharpen our targeting and campaign performance.


Strategic Market Expansion (Secondary Focus)

  • Account Mapping: Identify and research "perfect-fit" accounts within the Retail Media and Brand landscape to build a high-quality prospect list.
  • Multi-Channel Prospecting: Execute thoughtful, high-touch outbound campaigns via LinkedIn and email to break into target accounts and fill pipeline gaps.
  • ABM Collaboration: Support Account-Based Marketing initiatives to penetrate high-priority enterprise opportunities.



REQUIREMENTS


We are looking for a high-energy operator who thrives in the "beautiful chaos" of a fast-growing startup and takes pride in building smarter revenue systems.


  • Professional Experience: 1–3 years of high-performance experience in an SDR, BDR, or lead generation role.
  • Communication Mastery: You are a gifted writer who can balance professional authority with a human, engaging tone. You hate generic templates.
  • Tech Stack Proficiency: Skilled in CRM platforms (Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (Salesloft, ZoomInfo, etc.).
  • The Growth Mindset: You are comfortable working in both structured environments and fast-moving, evolving startup scenarios.
  • Operational Excellence: Exceptional organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. You ensure no lead ever slips through the cracks.


A Major Plus:

  • Industry Fluency: Background in Ecommerce, Retail Media, Digital Advertising, or SaaS.
  • Target Audience Experience: Previous experience selling into Brands, Retailers, or Retail Media Networks.
  • Network Navigation: Experience reaching stakeholders within Ecommerce teams, Marketing organizations, or Agency partnerships.



Pay range and compensation package:


Annual salary $53,000 - $62,000 with variable performance comp commission of $25,000.
