Remote Loan Title Specialist

Fully Remote Position

Direct Hire- Full time position, W2 Candidates only*

Candidates must NOT need sponsorship or VISA transfer*

Only candidates with recent Encompass experience will be considered*

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review assigned loans and apply appropriate conditions to clear title issues

· Follow up with title vendors to obtain missing or incomplete title work

· Collaborate with Processors and title vendors to obtain documentation from borrowers and lienholders to clear the conditions required to clear title within established timelines

· Identify non-borrower property owners and spouses; update files accordingly and condition processors to collect valid government issued identification.

· Request and review proposed deeds or quit-claim deeds to align borrower and owner information on the subject property

· Submit Trust and Power of Attorney (POA) documents to the Compliance team for approval; Ensure system records are updated accordingly

· Input all “Also Known As” (AKA) names found in supporting loan documents into the loan file

· Vet and clear non contracted title vendors according to vendor review procedures

· Follow up on problem closings, work to resolve issues, and document the resolution appropriately

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Minimum 2 years of experience in title processing, loan closing, or funding, preferably within a mortgage or loan origination environment

· Significant familiarity with residential mortgage loan origination processes, experience with Encompass/ICE Loan Origination System is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of residential title business and procedures preferred

· Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail

· Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service skills

· Demonstrated analytical skills and comfort interpretating metrics or data reports

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
