Position Summary:

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for prospecting new customers and managing incoming inquiries. Successful customer engagement will require a combination of technical acumen, active listening, and effective communication to connect them with the optimal RIGOL solutions for their technical needs and budget limits. This is a direct sales position working with customers across the US, with a strategic focus on the Southern US region.


Job Requirements:

  • Drive customer interactions primarily via phone, video conferencing, and email. On occasion, conduct on-site visits to key customers across the Southern US region (Texas and surrounding states).
  • Work directly with customers to understand their applications and identify the right RIGOL solutions to address their requirements.
  • Create, proactively manage, and close sales opportunities originating from inbound inquiries, marketing-generated leads, direct prospecting, and web store inquiries.
  • Develop and execute a strategic prospecting and sales territory plan.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations highlighting the key capabilities of RIGOL test instruments.
  • Collaborate closely with a highly skilled application engineering team to facilitate the technical sales process.
  • Travel occasionally to support marketing activities such as industry tradeshows.


Skills / Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience selling technical products; experience in selling Test & Measurement (T&M) solutions is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to sell effectively to both technical buyers (mostly engineers) and economic buyers.
  • Strong capability to technically qualify sales opportunities and effectively communicate the value proposition of technical products in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful territory and prospecting plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to close product/solution sales ranging from $500 to $30,000 via phone, email, or video conferencing.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with high self-motivation and drive.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred) or equivalent related industry experience.
