R&D Engineering Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced R&D Engineering Manager to lead our product development team and support the full Salaera portfolio. This role will guide technical strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner cross-functionally to drive innovation and business growth. As a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT), this leader will play a key role in shaping company initiatives and delivering high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development activities from concept through design, delivery, and regulatory approval
• Manage project pipeline and provide visibility to leadership on priorities and timelines
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and applicable regulatory standards
• Oversee 510(k) submissions and support successful product launches
• Maintain and improve the existing product portfolio to meet evolving customer and regulatory needs
• Guide and develop a high-performing engineering team with clear growth plans
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive efficient product development and operations
• Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support across the organization
• Drive strategic initiatives focused on growth and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related field)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in technical product development leadership
• Experience in medical device or regulated environments strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to travel up to 15% as needed
