Process Engineer

We are hiring for a Process Engineer role for a leading manufacturing company.

📍 Location: South Carolina, United States

💼 Experience: 2–10 Years

🎓 Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Controls Technology, or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and SWIs (Standard Work Instructions)
• Handle root cause analysis for production, maintenance, and equipment issues
• Work on Kaizen and continuous improvement projects
• Support automation troubleshooting, equipment installation, debugging, and process improvements
• Develop VSM (Value Stream Mapping), PFMEA reviews, Control Plans, and process flow documentation
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, machine builders, and system integrators
• Support plant launches, trial runs, and troubleshooting activities across sites
• Ensure equipment and systems comply with safety standards and legislation
• Mentor and train junior team members

Must Have Skills:

• Experience in robotics, controls systems, Control Logix PLCs, plant automation, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with plant application controls and automation systems
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Technical project management experience
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of safety systems design
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and external vendors/OEMs

Preferred:

• Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in automation/process improvement

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends when required
