Principal Process Chemist

We are working with a rapidly growing peptide manufacturing CDMO is seeking a Principal Process Chemist to lead peptide process development, scale-up, and manufacturing activities supporting clinical and commercial peptide programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process development and optimization activities for peptide manufacturing programs
• Design and execute solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) strategies for complex peptide therapeutics
• Support process scale-up, tech transfer, and GMP manufacturing operations
• Develop and optimize purification and analytical methods to improve yield, purity, and scalability
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues across development and production campaigns
• Author technical reports, batch records, development protocols, and regulatory documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical leadership across peptide development programs

Qualifications:

• PhD required in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related life science field
• Minimum 3+ years of industry experience within peptide therapeutics, peptide manufacturing, CDMOs, or pharmaceutical process development
• Strong expertise in SPPS, peptide purification, and process scale-up activities
• Experience working within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and solve complex process chemistry challenges
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
