Network Architect

Job Description:

• Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures that support an organization’s business operations. This role focuses on high-level network design, scalability, security, and performance across enterprise environments, cloud platforms, and data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-level network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN)
• Plan and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions
• Lead network transformation initiatives (cloud migration, hybrid networks, zero-trust architecture)
• Evaluate and recommend networking technologies, tools, and vendors
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure network security best practices
• Create detailed network design documentation, diagrams, and standards
• Oversee network performance, capacity planning, and optimization
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 8–15+ years of experience in networking roles (engineering/architecture)
• Strong expertise in:
• Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
• Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Software-defined networking (SDN) and SD-WAN
• Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.)
• Proficiency in network design tools and documentation

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate
