Our client is seeking a National Retail Account Manager to lead growth across key national retail partners in the pet products space. This role will own account strategy, revenue growth, forecasting, and retailer relationship management across high-volume value-driven channels. The ideal candidate brings strong national account experience, deep retail channel knowledge, and a proven ability to build and scale strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of national retail accounts across value-focused channels including off-price, club, and discount retail.
Create and execute account-specific sales strategies aligned to retailer buying cycles, merchandising priorities, and promotional calendars.
Lead forecasting, annual planning, pricing negotiations, and promotional execution to drive revenue and margin growth.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with buyers, planners, and retail stakeholders.
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product development, operations, and finance to execute winning retail programs.
Qualifications:
5–8+ years of national-scale retail account management experience in pet products, or related categories.
Proven success managing large retail partnerships in off-price, club, or value channels.
Strong negotiation, forecasting, and business planning skills with a track record of driving profitable growth.
Deep understanding of retail buying behaviors, assortment planning, and vendor compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
