Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Matchmaking Coordinator to support our Matchmaking team in delivering an exceptional, high-touch experience to both clients and candidates. This role serves as a critical partner to our Matchmakers, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, polished communication, and efficient coordination across all aspects of the matchmaking process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and brings a strong sense of discretion, professionalism, and service excellence. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate with sophistication and clarity, and uphold the elevated standards synonymous with the Selective Search brand.
Core Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Client & Candidate Support
- Communicate with candidates via email and phone in a professional, polished, and brand-aligned manner
- Assist in delivering a high-touch, concierge-level experience throughout the matchmaking process
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all interactions
Matchmaking & Research Support
- Conduct database searches to identify potential client matches for presentations
- Support candidate recruiting efforts, including research, and ensure candidate profile completion
- Assist in the creation and refinement of candidate and client presentations
- Draft and edit biographies and supporting materials
- Conduct reputation analyses and background research as needed
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide detail-oriented, deadline-driven support to Matchmakers
- Manage calendar scheduling and coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Salesforce CRM
- Complete data entry and database management tasks
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft polished, client-ready correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Professional, poised demeanor with a commitment to high-level client service
- Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar database systems
- Experience in a client-facing, service-oriented, or high-touch environment
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position with the following on-site and travel expectations:
- Day-to-day responsibilities performed from home office/remote location
- 4-5 visits annually to Chicago headquarters for team meetings, training, and collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary of $52,000
