About Everest Biolabs: Everest Biolabs is an early-stage life science company developing automated, scalable technologies for the isolation and analysis of extracellular vesicles (EVs). We are building robust, platforms to accelerate biomarker discovery and diagnostics. Our team is passionate about translating cutting-edge science into accessible technologies that drive discovery and have a meaningful clinical impact.
Role Overview: Everest Biolabs is seeking a versatile Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. This is a unique "hybrid" role requiring a blend of mechanical aptitude and laboratory skills. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of our core offerings: from the physical assembly of laboratory instruments to the wet-bench preparation and Quality Control (QC) of consumables like SEC columns and ELISA kits.
Key Responsibilities
- Reagent & Consumable Production: Perform wet-bench techniques including pipetting, buffer preparation, protein conjugation, and the packing/manufacturing of Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) columns and ELISAs.
- Assay Execution: Run ELISA assays to validate reagent performance and ensure batch consistency.
- Mechanical Assembly: Use hand tools (drivers, glue, etc.) to assemble, connect, and calibrate precision laboratory instruments according to work instructions and final assembly testing documents.
- Quality Control (QC): Perform rigorous testing on both hardware and biochemical products to ensure they meet Everest Biolabs’ high standards before shipping.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed batch records and equipment logs in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Work Experience: 2+ years work experience in a lab or engineering environment.
- Laboratory Proficiency: Strong foundational skills in wet-bench work, specifically accurate pipetting and familiarity with protein assays.
- Attention to Detail: A "right first time" mentality—whether tightening a bolt or loading a 96-well plate.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Everest Biolabs does not provide visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) for this position.
Why Join Everest Biolabs?
- Pioneer the EV Frontier: We are building solutions to scale extracellular vesicle research. Your work directly empowers scientists to achieve breakthroughs in diagnostics and therapeutics.
- A True Hybrid Role: Skip the monotony of a single-task manufacturing. At Everest, you’ll bridge the gap between precision engineering (hardware) and molecular biology (reagents).
- High Standards, Zero Ego: We’re serious about science and quality. We care about doing things right and having fun too. Expect curiosity, candid feedback, lots of collaboration, and a team that enjoys the climb together.
