Manufacturing Equipment Service & Repair Technician — VFD/PLCJoin us to safeguard uptime, safety, and quality
Our operation runs on reliable machines and meticulous maintenance. As a Service & Repair Technician, you’ll be a frontline guardian of equipment health—combining mechanical savvy, electrical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality to keep the plant productive and compliant.
Your impact
Champion a safe workplace and adhere to all safety and quality programs and procedures.
Execute repairs and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using appropriate hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test gear and hand tools; restore to safe operation quickly.
Connect conductors to circuit breakers, transformers, and related components.
Plan work by calculating, laying out/drawing, balancing, and aligning equipment.
Perform rigging operations and safety-related functions; complete miscellaneous maintenance and electrical assignments.
Fabricate or fit mechanical parts (fittings, valves, etc.) from cold rolled steel, stainless steel, plate, structural members, and other metals as needed.
Maintain electrical equipment in accordance with all applicable country, state, and federal codes.
Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and assist with repairs/diagnostics on advanced processing equipment, CNC machines, material handling systems, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment.
Demonstrated mechanical knowledge; proactive self-starter who also follows direction.
Required: laser alignment and vibration monitoring knowledge.
Familiar with predictive and preventive maintenance practices and pipefitting.
Proficient with oxyacetylene torch work and welding; welding certification required.
Safe, proficient use of hand and power shop tools.
Physically able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Capable of safely operating a forklift and high lift.
Competent with programming Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Experienced testing electrical systems and verifying circuit continuity with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
Background with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics; welding certification required.
