This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial activities for the HPR business, which includes A/R & A/P functions, monthly/quarterly closes (P&L and Balance Sheet analyses), SOX, and Corporate reporting requirements. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring inventory cost accounting is compliant with US GAAP. This position will manage a hybrid / remote team based in California.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a high-performing team, ensuring critical deadlines are met while providing ongoing training, coaching and guidance
Leads team in the generation of a timely and accurate month end close, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, reserves, roll-forwards and other analyses
Liaise with leaders to provide an efficient and effective inventory accounting function including: standard costing for purchased/manufactured products & components, and inventory reserve management (both current & projected risk)
Develop accounting workflows to support alternative business models including: services, warranty programs and recertified products
Leads team to develop variance analysis explanations (actual vs. target) and forecast assumptions (ROs)
Responsible for maintaining an effective internal control structure along with compliance with SOX, US GAAP and Henry Schein accounting guidance
Maintains compliance with all Treasury guidelines and collaborates with Henry Schein partners on foreign exchange related initiatives
Subject matter expert on ERP system for all areas under his/her responsibility
Oversee all internal and external audit engagements
Drives continuous improvement in reporting and analytical processes
Leverages experience and knowledge of the business to collaborate with key team members, adding value and solving challenges as they arise.
Manage special projects by collaborating with other teams

Minimum Work Experience
Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.
Preferred Education
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
Travel / Physical Demands
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $110,692-$152,202, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
