Java Developer – Team Lead

We’re seeking a hands-on Java Developer – Team Lead to guide a team building scalable healthcare applications used by patients and providers. This role blends technical leadership with active development, focusing on modern microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions. This is a 100% remote position.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers
  • Design and build scalable web and mobile applications
  • Contribute hands-on across architecture and development
  • Drive code quality through reviews and best practices
  • Optimize performance using caching and monitoring tools
  • Champion unit testing, dependency injection, and AI-driven dev tools
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver Agile initiatives

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of Java development experience
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role
  • SaaS experience is required
  • Strong experience with:
    • Java (8/17/21) & Angular
    • Spring Boot & Microservices
    • REST APIs
    • MySQL & Redis
    • AWS
  • Familiarity with security & compliance (HIPAA/SOC2) and Healthcare technology experience
  • Experience leading Agile teams
