IT Business Continuity Specialist

IT Business Continuity Specialist | SLC, UT | $50-$60p/h | 6 month contract

We are looking for an IT Business Continuity Specialist to help build and strengthen a best-in-class resiliency program across our products, customer experience, and internal operations. In this role, you’ll drive enterprise-wide impact by building disaster recovery strategies, leading exercises, partnering with cross-functional teams, and embedding resilience as a core competitive advantage for our customers.

The role:

• Develop disaster recovery strategies and support compliance for new product releases
• Partner with IT, Engineering, and Product teams to define resiliency requirements
• Embed resiliency into digital transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, automation, and virtualization
• Lead resilience exercises: tabletop tests, event simulations, and training sessions
• Identify operational gaps and drive corrective/preventive actions
• Support BIAs, TIAs, metrics reporting, and continuous program improvements
• Manage resiliency tools and support product certification audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Stay current on industry best practices, standards, and technologies
• Support DR architecture and other program efforts as needed

Qualifications:

• 4+ years in Enterprise Resiliency, Business Continuity, or related fields
• Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, cloud, SaaS platforms, and storage architecture
• Strong BC background specific to IT
• Proven project management skills and ability to support evolving products
• Strong communication skills—comfortable presenting, planning, and influencing across stakeholders
• Ability to risk-rank priorities and drive alignment between business and technical teams
• Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and balancing competing priorities
• Preferred certifications: CBCP, MBCP, CRISC, or similar
• Experience with leading BCM tools (Fusion Framework, Riskonnect) is a plus
• Solid understanding of corporate IT and security controls
