Role Overview:

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to support the continued growth and evolution of the Summit investment platform.


Role & Responsibilities


Investment Research & Due Diligence

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on public and private investment strategies, including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and alternative investments.
  • Support manager due diligence efforts by reviewing performance, risk, portfolio construction, and firm‑level factors; maintain and update due diligence files.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of Summit’s asset allocation models and investment criteria.
  • Monitor markets, macroeconomic trends, and investment themes to support internal research and commentary.


Portfolio & Platform Support

  • Assist with portfolio construction, asset allocation, and tax‑aware portfolio design in support of advisors and client objectives.
  • Support ongoing oversight of models, strategies, and platform investments, including performance analysis and periodic reviews.
  • Serve as a resource to advisors on investment strategy implementation and the use of third‑party platforms and investment technology.


Advisor Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as a direct point of contact for Summit advisors on investment‑related questions, portfolio construction support, and platform resources.
  • Communicate complex investment concepts clearly and confidently to a diverse audience, adapting messaging for advisor, client, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support advisors in client discussions by translating research, portfolio analytics, and market insights into practical, actionable guidance.
  • Participate in advisor meetings, training sessions, and ad‑hoc consultations alongside senior members of the Investment Team.
  • Collaborate closely with advisors to understand client objectives, constraints, and implementation considerations, helping tailor investment solutions within Summit’s platform.
  • Contribute to written communications—including market commentary, investment notes, and presentation materials—with a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.


Technology, Data & AI Enablement

  • Leverage investment research platforms (e.g., Morningstar, Bloomberg, portfolio analytics tools) to evaluate managers and portfolios.
  • Utilize AI‑enabled tools (e.g., research summarization, drafting, workflow automation, data validation) to improve efficiency, consistency, and insight generation across the investment process.
  • Maintain data integrity across custodians, reporting systems, and internal tools; assist in identifying process improvements through automation and technology.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in asset management, investment research, or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and investment strategies.
  • Interest in pursuing or progress toward the CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with investment research and analytics platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfort working with large datasets and presentation materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply emerging technologies, including AI‑driven research or workflow tools, in a professional setting.
