Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources team by providing high‑quality administrative, coordination, and employee support across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Benefits. This role serves as a first point of contact for employees, ensures accurate and timely data management within our HRIS, and helps deliver a positive employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. The HR Generalist partners closely with internal teams to support reporting, employee engagement initiatives, and compliance‑focused HR processes while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.

Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources team by providing high‑quality administrative, coordination, and employee support across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Benefits. This role serves as a first point of contact for employees, ensures accurate and timely data management within our HRIS, and helps deliver a positive employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. The HR Generalist partners closely with internal teams to support reporting, employee engagement initiatives, and compliance‑focused HR processes while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Primary Job Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day employee questions, escalating more complex issues to senior HR team members as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records by processing daily HR data entry, managing documentation, and electronically organizing and updating personnel files in our HRIS, including personal, job, and status changes.
- Manage and organize company documents within our HRIS to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Manage cyclical reporting including employee headcounts, daily labor reports, employee milestones, anniversary reports, EEO, and organization charts updates
- Assist with offboarding tasks such as collecting company property, processing status changes, and ensuring documentation is complete
- Coordinate and conduct exit interviews during offboarding
- Serve as the company administrator for unemployment, including managing claim submissions, documentation, and coordination with state agencies and internal stakeholders
- Assist with planning and logistics for employee appreciation events, town halls, and company meetings including booking meeting spaces and coordinating calendars
- Support employee surveys, including distribution, tracking completion, and assisting with follow‑up actions
- Act as primary backup to the receptionist, supporting front‑desk coverage and visitor coordination as needed
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the Talent Acquisition team, including completing onboarding, preparing materials, and responding to new‑hire questions
- Coordinate and run orientation sessions, ensuring new hires complete required paperwork, training, and acquire system access on time
- Coordinate locker assignments, uniform ordering, and related inventory tracking
- Partner with operations and facilities teams to ensure employees have required resources to start and perform their roles
- Support benefits administration by assisting employees with basic benefit questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR partner or vendor
- Assist employees with access to W‑2s, paystubs, employment verification, and general HR documentation
- Serve as the company administrator for COBRA, including coordinating qualifying event notices, enrollment documentation, system updates, and communications with vendors and employees
- Serve as the company administrator for employee leaves of absence, including coordinating requests, documentation, system tracking, and communications related to FMLA, state leaves, and company‑specific leave policies, in partnership with HR leadership and external vendors as applicable
- Schedule and coordinate employee wellness initiatives, including the annual onsite flu clinic
- Assist with benefits‑related communications and documentation throughout the year including annual open enrollment
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative and project support across Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, and HR Operations
- Assist with special projects, audits, and process improvements as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR, HR Operations, HR Coordinator, or similar people‑support role
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience maintaining employee records and processing HR data accurately in an HRIS (Paycom experience strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee support, and recordkeeping
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional, approachable communication skills with the ability to serve as a first point of contact for employees
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or multi-shift environment
- Experience working directly with individuals who are English second language
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfort working in HR systems and databases
