The Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for a full-time Assistant Director. The Assistant Director for Student Advising is a key member of the Academic and Student Affairs team within the Darla Moore School of Business Graduate Division. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive academic advising and support services to graduate business students, ensuring timely degree completion and enhancing their overall educational experience. Through in-person and virtual engagement, this position focuses on helping students develop a personalized academic plan of study, monitors program progression, and proactively identifies and resolves issues impacting course registration and academic performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master’s degree in Student Services or a related field and 2 years of related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience.
Experience in student services, business and human resources and/or related experience in client-customer support roles.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Content Manager, GMS , Banner, Self-Service Carolina, and/or enrollment CRMs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Written communication, analytical, interpersonal leadership, managerial, project management and conflict resolution skills.
Able to work independently and aggressively in a fast-paced environment while exercising good judgement and reasoning in the performance of complex, ever-evolving job duties.
Effective team member, planning, presenter and motivator.
