What To Expect A Tesla Facilities Operations Supervisor has the responsibility of supporting daily operations of critical facilities equipment to ensure uninterrupted production. The Supervisor will be supporting the Operators in their daily tasks and making sure they have all the tools needed to succeed in their job and address any safety issues that are brought up. They will be coordinating with other departments and companies to ensure processes are being followed and inventory of onsite storages are maintained. Supervisors are the first line of escalation for issues that are observed by the Operators and will escalate and involve other teams and departments as needed.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain a proactive operating group with a focus on monitoring, technical execution, and customer service
Plan, supervise, and coordinate the Operations Support Group, ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health, & Safety (EH&S) regulations and company policies; enforce adherence to safety protocols; promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments, hazard identification, training, and continuous improvement advocacy
Lead technical staff in executing complex facilities operations, with expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Water Systems
Enforce policies, develop procedures, and plan resource allocation to support daily planned and unplanned activities
Provide training, mentoring, and career development to personnel, improving performance and managing on-shift escalations
Act as incident commander during facility excursions, analyze complex problems, and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence
Communicate detailed work plans, verify task execution, and review reports to measure productivity and goal achievement
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience, with 4+ years in critical operations of complex systems (e.g., power plants, refineries)
Wear and advocate for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per site protocols
Ability to sit, stand, walk for 10+ hours daily, lift 10-20 lbs. and work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and hazardous environments
Capable of obtaining OSHA 30 certification within 3 months of hire
Discern audible/visual alarms and work with hazardous materials
Support and/or work shift duties in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication skills, and high tolerance for change
