Electrician Technician III independently performs advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex commercial and industrial electrical systems in support of Tampa General Hospital operations. Electrician Technician III serves as a lead level electrician, interpreting one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and technical drawings to plan and execute work involving electrical distribution systems, emergency power supply systems, control systems, and specialized electrical infrastructure. The role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership capability, and adherence to applicable codes, safety standards, and organizational values.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of six (6) years of documented commercial or industrial electrical experience is required.
Additional technical or trade school training is required, including experience functioning in a lead worker capacity.
Active Florida Journeyman License is required.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to seventy (70) pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, towers, and elevated platforms.
Ability to safely operate power tools and electrical testing instruments.
Ability to work with electrical systems with voltages up to thirteen thousand two hundred (13,200) volts while maintaining strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
