We are searching for an Electrical Engineer-Level 4 on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will provide high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management. Work closely with customer leadership to guide engineering strategies, solve complex challenges, and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience. You would have an advanced experience in system integration, and risk management, ensuring project success from conception through execution.
Location: Remote with trips to Juno Beach, FL 33408
1-year contract assignment.(W-2)
Responsibilities:
• Provides high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiates technical and regulatory requirements, and influences executive-level project decisions.
• Leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensures compliance with industry standards, and optimizes technical designs for energy infrastructure.
• Acts as the technical authority on engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• You will have full accountability for PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 11+ years of experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms
• Expert knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols
• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development
• Strong understanding of power systems and utility-scale energy project
• Proven experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power generation projects
• Knowledge of BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies
• Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards
• Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols
• Full accountability for PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion
• Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness preferred
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65.00/hr. to $70.00/hr.
