This role is critical to enabling operational excellence across our billing operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical fluency, strong project management discipline, and proven experience managing data systems in a healthcare or medical billing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own and lead the company's Reporting and Analysis function, including design, development, and maintenance of operational dashboards and executive-level reports.
  • Define and enforce data governance standards, KPI frameworks, and reporting best practices across departments.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  •  Oversee the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all internal and client-facing reports.

Systems & Interface Management

  • Manage and optimize all information systems, including practice management platforms, clearinghouses, EHR integrations, and internal tools.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data interfaces and EDI/API integrations between billing systems and payer/provider networks.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies to enhance workflow automation and data accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for system issues, outages, and technical problem resolution.
  • Maintain documentation for all system configurations, data flows, and integration specifications.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional technology and data projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports for all active initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Client Services teams to prioritize and execute on the technology roadmap.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for third-party technology providers.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing information management team, including analysts, interface specialists, and systems administrators.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data quality, and accountability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in information management, healthcare IT, or revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing data systems and integrations within a medical billing or healthcare operations environment.
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in reporting tools and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, etc.), clearinghouse workflows, and payer connectivity.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fully remote environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
