The Director, Finance, Commercial is responsible for providing strategic controlling leadership and partnership to Sales while liaising with Brand, CDMO, and Corporate Finance to be the chief value creation officer for Luxe Ecommerce. The Director is the right hand to the Head of Sales for both D2C and Amazon. This position is responsible for both P&L (gross to net sales) and balance sheet management of all categories of business including budgets, trends, three-year plans and actuals reporting. In doing so, the Director will be required to work across various financial systems (Compass, SAP, LEAP).
Responsibilities
Partner closely with Sales leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance, support strategic decision-making, and drive business performance
Provide financial leadership on Commercial and Business strategy
Own the financial budget through the development, implementation, and management of the annual budget, incorporating rigorous sell-out and sell-in risk & opportunity analyses
Develop vigorous multi-year financial models to assess the impact of business decisions, media and promotional activities using market driven data
Strategize and implement negotiation tactics and understand multiyear P&L impact for our annual vendor negotiations
Deep understanding of P&L levers to drive P&L optimization and profitability through P&L and ROI analysis
Partner with Retail Media Strategist to oversee media ensuring alignment with brand strategies and maximizing return on investment
Oversee monthly financial close to ensure accurate and timely reporting for Total Ecommerce, using results to drive positive change
Ensure adherence to financial compliance according to internal norms and financial reporting standards
Manage a direct report
Education/Experience
7 – 10 years of experience in finance or accounting required including supervisory/ management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
MBA/CPA preferred.
Consumer products industry experience preferred.
Skills
Strong computer skills required; must have expert-level experience with Excel and Word.
Financial reporting experience and use of SAP, Hyperion, Lawson GL or similar systems highly desirable.
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, business acumen, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management.

Salary Range: $140,100 – $203,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
