Job Title: Database Administrator

Required Skills

• Proven experience with AWS RDS environments, emphasizing performance, security, and availability
• Strong proficiency with SQL, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
• Expertise in upgrading databases with minimal downtime
• Ability to scale databases both horizontally and vertically
• Intermediate proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
• Experience with database monitoring frameworks and automation tools
• Knowledge of AWS ETL platforms, particularly AWS DMS
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including networking, security, and file systems
• Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and administer complex AWS database solutions
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Developer are preferred

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with self-healing automation, system health monitoring, and diagnostics
• Familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting at the database level
• Prior experience working in fast-paced, cloud-first environments
• Knowledge of additional cloud services and infrastructure tools

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of relevant DBA experience, with a focus on cloud-based database environments and SaaS platforms
