Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and monitoring databases to ensure smooth performance
• Support database backup, recovery, and security processes
• Help troubleshoot database-related issues and performance concerns
• Monitor database health and system availability
• Assist with database updates, patches, and maintenance tasks
• Work with development and IT teams to support application databases
• Maintain database documentation and reports
• Ensure data integrity and system reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of database concepts, backup, and recovery processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to cloud databases or database administration tools
• Internship, academic projects, or certifications related to databases or SQL
• Basic scripting knowledge such as Python or Shell scripting
