Work with the Key Account Managers and CUS Program Supervisor on all aspects of the process.
Review the customer requests, specifications, and products to develop an upgrade or retrofit concept based on our standard assembly platforms. Provide our customers with product design support to improve the assembly process.
Determine customer requirements and sales strategy with KAMs and CSCOs.
Develop:
Upgraded or retrofit assembly concepts
AutoCAD 2D layouts and Inventor 3D models
Sub-systems specifications and costings through direct contact with suppliers
Detailed project cost estimates as the basis for the sales price
Technical PowerPoint presentations
Consultation and collaboration with our internal engineering leads to address specific design concerns or issues to ensure correct pricing.
Communicate with the customer during the proposal phase.
Work with other CSAE or CSCO as necessary.
Write quotations and present your solution to our customers as part of the Sales team.
Make sales calls with the Key Account Managers to provide automation technical support in their consulting and selling efforts with customers, with the purpose to significantly increase probability of closing orders.
Hand-off the project to the Operations staff at the Project Kick-off Meeting.
Be a consultant to the Operations staff during the project phase while gathering feedback on quote accuracy for continuous improvement
Reporting
Keep Salesforce system up to date with RFQ case details
Maintain proposal folders, quote templates, and pricing sheets
Create reports as necessary

Ability to make sound decisions independently and within a team setting.
Ability to be a team player.
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Project with demonstrated record of spreadsheet creation and maintenance.
Knowledge of accounting and financial operating systems.

Strong ability to function in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent analytical skills and solid aptitude with numbers.
Ability to follow company and department policies and procedures.
Any other duties that have been described in detail as assigned by the CUS Manager
Requirements
Required Education, Knowledge, Experience & Skill
BS in Engineering or 3-5 years’ experience in the machine building industry.
Knowledge of industry accepted engineering practice.
Computer Aided Design experience.
Ability to create and present a project specific presentation.
Technical writing skills.
Computer skills including basic Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Project) and advanced Excel spreadsheet experience.
Experienced in the use of a database system for tracking customers and opportunities.
Ability to follow company procedures.

Must be able to travel as requested
Must be available to work overtime
May be required to work off shift hours and Holidays
Willing and able to travel 10% of the year, including travel with little to no notice.
Must have a valid state Driver's license
Must be willing and able to obtain a passport.
Must have personal credit card for expenses that may be incurred while traveling for company purposes.
