Clinical Research Associate

Upsilon Global are seeking a freelance CRA, based in the US, with experience in Cell and Gene Therapy.

Indication: Cell and Gene Therapy

Start Date: May 2026

Location: USA (home-based/remote with regional travel for on-site monitoring visits; candidates located close to a major airport preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support local regulatory submissions, EC/IRB documentation and site start-up activities
• Conduct remote and on-site monitoring visits in accordance with protocol, ICH-GCP and sponsor requirements
• Perform routine site management and oversight activities to ensure study compliance and patient safety
• Ensure timely reporting, effective communication with Data Management (DM) and Project Management (PM), and transparent escalation of study issues
• Maintain Investigator Site File (ISF) and support Site Master File (SMF/eTMF) completeness and inspection readiness
• Track site progress and update study milestones within CTMS and sponsor systems
• Build strong relationships with investigators and site staff to ensure successful study delivery

Experience Required:

• 3+ years independent monitoring experience as a CRA / 5+ years for Senior CRA level
• Strong recent experience within Oncology studies
• Prior Cell & Gene Therapy experience is essential
• Willingness and ability to travel for on-site monitoring visits
• Comfortable working within complex, fast-paced and less structured study environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously while escalating issues appropriately
