NU Advisory Partners has been retained to lead the search for a Chief Information Officer for a large-scale, multi-site services organization undergoing technology and operational transformation. This executive will define and lead the enterprise technology strategy, modernizing a fragmented systems environment while building scalable infrastructure, data capabilities, and AI-enabled workflows that support long-term growth. The role requires a highly strategic yet hands-on technology leader who can balance modernization, operational stability, cybersecurity, and business enablement across a distributed operating footprint.

Key Responsibilities


Technology Strategy & Modernization

  • Define and execute a multi-year enterprise technology roadmap aligned with business growth objectives
  • Lead modernization of legacy systems and fragmented infrastructure into a scalable, cloud-enabled architecture
  • Drive strategic build versus buy decisions across core platforms and enterprise systems
  • Establish a long-term operating model that enables automation, scalability, and improved decision-making


Infrastructure, Security & Operational Excellence

  • Standardize technology infrastructure across a distributed operating environment
  • Lead cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operational resilience initiatives
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and platform reliability across mission-critical systems
  • Oversee major system migrations and technology transformation initiatives with minimal operational disruption


Data & AI Enablement

  • Build a centralized and governed enterprise data environment
  • Expand analytics and business intelligence capabilities across operational and executive teams
  • Implement scalable AI-enabled workflows and automation initiatives that improve productivity and operational efficiency
  • Strengthen system integrations and enterprise data connectivity across platforms and third-party providers


Technology Organization & Vendor Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing technology organization spanning engineering, infrastructure, data, security, and service delivery
  • Establish clear accountability, operating cadence, and execution discipline across the technology function
  • Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency


Executive Partnership & Transformation Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology investment, operational scalability, and digital transformation
  • Translate technology initiatives into measurable business outcomes tied to growth, efficiency, and customer experience
  • Support integration, transformation, and organizational change initiatives across the enterprise
  • Provide clear executive-level reporting on technology performance, risk, and transformation progress


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience serving as a Chief Information Officer or equivalent senior technology executive within a large-scale, operationally complex organization
  • Proven track record leading enterprise technology modernization and cloud transformation initiatives
  • Experience operating in multi-site, transaction-intensive environments with significant operational complexity
  • Strong background across infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data platforms, and systems integration
  • Demonstrated ability to build modern data and analytics capabilities that support operational and commercial decision-making
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled automation and enterprise technology transformation initiatives
  • Proven success leading distributed technology teams and managing complex vendor ecosystems
  • Experience operating in private capital-backed or similarly performance-driven environments
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to align technology investment with measurable business outcomes
