Job Summary:
As a Process Engineer, you will provide invaluable support to specialty equipment sales team by using your engineering experience and knowledge of LCI's Technologies. The role will proactively support laboratory feasibility studies (PES) and customer-attended Test Center trials to develop scale-up data. Additional duties include preliminary system design/costing, proposals, field service and troubleshooting, as well as laboratory and lease start-ups.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support with Test Center demonstrations and Laboratory evaluations, as a precursor to sales, on client material incorporating LCI’s technology and experience.
- Design systems for specific product applications based on analysis of the test results and customer data, along with LCI know-how and experience to maximize LCI’s competitive situation.
- Estimate cost of proposed systems and prepare proposals.Writing proposals including costing jobs and maintaining pricing levels in a way that will maximize LCI’s competitiveness and profit margins.
- Travel to customer sites to discuss potential applications, help set strategy, and present seminars covering LCI technologies. Domestic and international travel for start-ups of leased and purchased equipment.
- All other duties that may be necessary from time to time outside the normal scope of your job description that will contribute toward the company meeting its goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Your Experience & Education
- 1-5+ years’ experience as a Process Engineer or a similar role.
- Bacholor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Your Skills & Traits:
- Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with entire MS Office Suite required.
- Proficient in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
- Familiar with instrumentation and controls.
- Proficient in reading Engineering drawings such as, PFD’s, PID’s, GA’s, etc…
- Have strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct oral presentations.
- Training on AutoCAD, OSHA & EPA training, safety training is a plus.
