Business System Analyst

MUST:

• 3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Business System Analyst
• SQL
• Very strong with SQL queries and pulling data from SQL
• Financial Services or Insurance background
• Bachelor's Degree
• Good with basic calculus + complex algebra
• strong with Excel
• Strong with data analysis and investigating data
• Experience writing sop's
• Strong communication and ability to answer production questions for the business and triage issues

PLUS:

• Experience working on an Insurance Policy Admin system

DAY TO DAY:

Our fast paced insurance client is seeking a Product Owner/BSA to join their team as a full time employee in Durham, NC. This role is hybrid onsite. This person will launch the client’s core products, work within the policy admin system, and focusing on being in the weeds/getting things done for this life insurance client.

• This person analyzes user’s requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications
• The position is responsible for collaborating with business and product teams to capture and translate requests into system specifications in the form of user stories, epics, and development tasks
• Participates in the software development lifecycle – working alongside software engineers to ensure the software solution meets business goals and objectives
• Acts as a liaison between other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
• Facilitating the complex process of understanding business needs and establishing an understanding of how technology solutions may meet those needs
