Job Summary

The Business Analyst, Revenue Performance is a high-impact role dedicated to interpreting and driving actionable business insights that accelerate decision-making across the Revenue Performance organization. Unlike traditional administrative roles focused on historical views, this position prioritizes forward-looking analysis and the strategic identification of commercial opportunities. The primary objective is to empower the broader team to make faster, more efficient, and more profitable decisions by translating complex business scenarios into clear strategic narratives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Insight Generation: Proactively evaluate business performance to identify trends, anomalies, and revenue-maximizing opportunities that might otherwise remain hidden in standard reporting.
  • Decision Support: Partner closely with Revenue Management and leadership to translate critical business questions into structured models that support faster tactical and strategic pivots.
  • Advanced Performance Evaluation: Analyze booking curves, Net PPD trends, and yield performance to provide predictive insights and actionable recommendations rather than just descriptive summaries.
  • Process Efficiency: Collaborate with Revenue Intelligence and Systems teams to streamline workflows and automate insight delivery, ensuring the organization spends less time gathering information and more time acting on it.
  • Narrative Synthesis: Communicate complex findings to C-Suite, VP, and Director-level audiences, focusing on the 'so what' and 'what’s next' to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Ad Hoc Strategic Analysis: Lead rapid-response deep dives into specific voyages, deployments, or pricing strategies to solve immediate commercial challenges or capitalize on market shifts.
  • Validation & Integrity: Maintain a disciplined approach to quality, ensuring that all business insights and recommendations are built on a foundation of accurate and consistent metrics.

Qualifications

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field required.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, revenue management, or financial analysis where the primary focus was driving business outcomes through informed recommendations.
  • Industry Context: Experience with cruise or hospitality revenue management concepts (APCD, Net PPD, load factor) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven Impact: Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business problems and deliver clean, actionable outputs that directly influenced executive decisions.

Competencies & Skills

  • Analytical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within relational environments is required.
  • Strategic Visualization: Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to create diagnostic and predictive visualizations that highlight business opportunities.
  • Commercial Mindset: Ability to understand the broader business context and translate technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Agility: A self-starter who can manage multiple high-priority deliverables and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a consistent and auditable library of business logic.
